Postcards provide important flashbacks to earlier times. The only trouble is that dates rarely appear in the captions. Although only a very small place Arnprior has a postcard collection, with many of the same view! The trick is working out the date when the photographs were taken - using clues such as clothing, transport, buildings and large trees. They even travel back to us from Canada and there must be many tucked away in attics here and around the world.
